Dennis Keene, Artistic Director
The guiding force behind the Choral Festival is Artistic Director
Dennis Keene.
Through his concerts and recordings with the
Voices of Ascension,
his
regular guest appearances as conductor and clinician, and his work as
Director of the Chorus America Summer Conducting Workshops, he has emerged as
one of the leading names in choral music today. Known for the depth of his
musicality and for his committed and inspiring performances, Maestro Keene
has also gained a reputation as a dedicated, demanding, and inspiring
teacher.

Beverly Myers, Vocal Faculty
Soprano Beverly Myers is known equally well for her creative and eclectic
approach to teaching as for her expressive and multi-faceted performing,
drawing on knowledge of music, languages, body-work, mind/body connection in
technique, and study of a broad range of musical styles. She has been a
soloist with the New York Philharmonic, Brooklyn Philharmonic, Voices of
Ascension, and Musica Sacra; the opera companies of Philadelphia, Cleveland,
and Boston; a touring artist for Columbia Artists' Community Concerts; and an
ensemble singer for many premier professional choruses. Ms. Myers is also
well known as a private voice teacher in New York City and she is a member of
the Faculty of Adelphi University.

James Archie Worley, Vocal Faculty
Tenor James Archie Worley has recently been added to the roster of the
Metropolitan Opera. He enjoys a career that spans from performances of the
Verdi Requiem in China to frequent oratorio engagements at Lincoln Center and
Carnegie Hall with such orchestras as the New York Philharmonic, the American
Symphony Orchestra, Brooklyn Philharmonic, and the Orchestra of St. Luke's.
He was the tenor soloist with Dennis Keene and the festival chorus and
orchestra at last year's triumphant Caramoor debut. He is a regular member
of the Voices of Ascension and has recorded extensively. Mr. Worley
attended the University of Georgia and the Manhattan School of Music. He
maintains a private voice studio in New York City.

Mark Kruczek, Assistant Artistic Director & Accompanist
Mark Kruczek divides his time as a conductor, organist, accompanist, and
vocal coach. He is Founder and Conductor of Chorus Angelorum of Northwest
Indiana, Director of Music at St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Jackson
Heights, New York, and an independent vocal coach and accompanist in New York
City. He is the Organist and Accompanist for the Voices of Ascension, where
he has collaborated with Dennis Keene for over twenty years.

Susanne Peck, Board member and past Vocal Faculty
An acclaimed soprano soloist, Ms Peck has appeared and recorded with many leading ensembles, including the
Boston Early Music Festival, Voices of Ascension, New York City Ballet, the Waverly Consort, Concert Royal
Baroque Opera Co., Seattle Baroque Orchestra, the New York Collegium and Musica Sacra. Ms. Peck was winner
of the 1990 Schubertiade Lieder Competition at the 92nd Street Y in NYC. She has sung in Eastern and Western
Europe, Japan, Taiwan, South America and throughout the United States.
Susanne is founder and director of Westchester's finest vocal ensemble, Charis Chamber Voices, whose second CD, a Christmas recording entitled
Hoping It Might Be So, was released in 2003.
