Kent School is located on 1,533 beautiful acres
bordering on the Housatonic River, in Kent, Connecticut,
in the picturesque Litchfield Hills
of Northwest Connecticut, 55 miles west of Hartford and
78 miles north of New York City.
The area abounds with the natural beauty of rural New England, offering
many nearby opportunities for hiking, canoeing, bicycling, picnics and shopping
for antiques.
It is easily accessible by train, bus, car, or airplane.
There are many walking and biking trails on the school property and at
nearby Macedonia Brook State Park.
Athletic facilities include tennis courts, a boat launching dock on the Housatonic,
access to the Appalachian Trail, basketball courts, indoor pool, squash courts,
a fitness center, and extensive outdoor playing fields.
The accomodations at Kent School are simple dormitory rooms with shared bathrooms.

A short walk from the campus, the quaint town of Kent features
an active arts community, including numerous galleries and the
Kent Art Association.
Bull's Bridge, one of two covered bridges in the region,
spans the scenic Housatonic River, and can be reached by car or on
foot by way of the Appalachian Trail.
The nearby Sloane-Stanley Museum is built from the remains of
artist and author Eric Sloane's studio. The Kent town center
features fine restaurants and unique shops.
